To find your chassis code marking, you need to identify the 8 or 12 digit code number highlighted in the pictures below from the car's VIN plate depending on style of plate. The silver plate with 8 digit code is generally used up to 2003, and the black sticker 12 digit from mid 2003 on. 
The required 'marked as' code number is the 6th digit of an 8 digit code, or the 10th digit of a 12 digit code. The code will be comprised of random letters and numbers.
