Customers may order by Credit/Debit Card, Cheque/Postal/International
Money Order or via Telephone/Fax.
Payment by cheque/Postal order can only be made in Sterling and must be drawn
from a UK bank or Post office. We accept most major credit/debit cards.
1) Select Your Items
Select the items you wish to purchase by browsing through the available categories
listed in the top left of the page, to select an item to purchase, click on either
the 'Buy Now' button in the category product listings, or on the 'Add
to Cart' button below an individual item description.
2) The Shopping Cart
After clicking on the'Add to Cart' button, you will be taken to your shopping
cart which will show you the items you have already selected, as well as the
shipping costs. The default shipping charges shown are for the UK, if you wish
to have goods sent outside of the UK please select the relevant country and
click the 'recalculate' link.
You may remove items from your shopping cart by checking the 'Remove' box
and clicking on the 'Update' button. You may increase the number of items
of a particular product by entering the new quantity desired into the 'Qty'
box and clicking on the Update button.
Once you are ready to order, click on the 'Checkout' button within your basket
or click on the 'Checkout' link located at the top right hand corner of each
page.
3) Your Details
In order to complete a purchase with PartsforVolvosOnline.com we require you to enter
your name and address into our system. Without this, we won't know where
to send your items! Please read our strict 'Privacy Notice' if you have
any concerns about entering your details.
If you are a customer who has previously entered your details, simply enter
your email address and password and click on the Sign In button. You will then
be taken directly to the Delivery Information screen without
having to re-enter any further information.
If you are a new customer enter your Name and Address details into the form.
You will also need to enter a password of your choice. Some fields are marked 'Required'.
You must enter something into these fields as they are needed for dispatching
your items. Fields not marked 'Required' are optional and you may leave them
blank if you wish.
Click on the Continue button when done. If you have entered everything correctly
you will be taken to a screen confirming your profile has been created otherwise
you will be asked to check your information and try again. At the confirmation
stage click on the Continue button to be taken to the Delivery Information
screen.
4) Delivery Information
This screen asks you to confirm the shipping address for your items and shows
the amount payable for shipping costs. The default shipping address
is the one you entered when first entering your details. You may change
the delivery address by clicking on the 'Change Address' button and entering
a new address. When you are happy that the delivery address is correct, click
on the Continue button to be taken to the Payment information screen.
5) Payment Information
This screen asks you to select the method of payment by which you would like
to pay for your items. Depending on your location, there are up to three
options to choose from:
- Firstly, you can pay with a credit or debit card using our 128 bit SSL secured payment
pages.
- Secondly you can choose to pay by cheque(UK only) or money order
. Please note that until we receive your cheque or money order we cannot
begin processing
your order. Additionally, payment by cheque usually adds a further delay
of around five working days to your order whilst we wait for the cheque to
clear. Please also note that we are only able to hold your order for seven days
from the date of ordering. If we fail to receive your cheque or money order
within seven days we will cancel your order and return the items to stock.
- Thirdly, if you so wish you may pay via Fax or Telephone, if you wish to pay via
this method, select this option and continue. Once you have completed
your order you will be able to print an invoice which also includes a form
for completion of your payment details, which you can then Fax or Telephone to
the number provided.
Please select the payment method of your choice and click on the Continue
button.
6) Confirmation
After the payment information screen you are taken to a confirmation screen
which displays your delivery address, the items you have ordered, the amount
including any shipping costs to pay, your billing address and your payment
method. If any of these are incorrect, click on the 'edit' link next to
the appropriate information and make any corrections needed. If everything
is correct then click on the 'Confirm Order' button.
- If you have selected payment by Cheque/Money Order or Payment by Fax/Telephone
you will be taken to a screen confirming that your order has been placed.
You will now have the chance to print off a copy of your invoice.
- If you have
selected payment by Credit or Debit card you will need to wait
for approx 45 seconds whilst your payment is authorised by the bank. If everything
is ok, you will be taken to the screen confirming your order has
been placed and that we are processing it ready for shipping. You
will now have the chance to print off a copy of your invoice.
